The workshop will be conducted in the classroom and in an on-site apiary. It is intended for an audience of beekeepers with some experience managing hives, beekeepers interested in improving their hive management, and anyone interested in adding value to bee and honey related products.


Workshop Presenters
Dr. Marion Ellis Professor of Entomology and Apiculture specialist at the University of Nebraska. He conducts the annual Mid-west Master Beekeeper Program and is an active researcher in several aspects of honeybee management.
Joli Winer &
Cecil Sweeney
Owners of Heartland Honey in Spring Hill, KS. They are regular contributors to the Master Beekeeper
Program.

Fred Strothman

Founder and former owner of Meadery of the Rockies in Palisade, CO. He has 15+ years experience in commercial mead making and is a Master Mead Maker.
